The Vascular Surgery Department at the Bon Secours Hospital provides the full range of vascular services including the management of patients with peripheral vascular disease and lower limb venous disease including varicose vein removal.
Vascular surgery is used to resolve problems with the vascular system (arteries and veins) such as varicose veins.
There are currently 5 Vascular Surgeons working in the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin who provide non-operative treatment, open surgery and endovascular surgery to treat a full range of vascular disorders. These are provided on a day case or in-patient basis depending upon the procedure. Where possible, the team uses minimally invasive techniques to facilitate recovery.
Appointments can be made directly with the consultant and will require a referral from your GP. The Consultant details are available here.
Vein Treatments
Most varicose vein treatments are provided on a walk-in, walk-out basis, generally under local anaesthetic or where required under general anaesthetic.
The following are a list of the vein treatments that are provided.
Most health plans will cover the above procedures. A fixed price is available for self paying patients.
