The Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Department at the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin provides excellence in respiratory and sleep diagnostic testing for inpatients and outpatients. The department includes eight consultant respiratory physicians and works closely with other referring specialists and GPs in the provision of diagnostic testing and relevant therapies for their patients.

Attached to the department is an Insomnia Clinic - The Insomnia Clinic Dublin. The clinic is the first of its kind in Ireland offering cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBTi). Insomnia is the most common sleep disorders affecting up to 15% of the population. More information is available here
The department is involved in on-going practical training of clinical measurement science students from the Dublin Institute of technology BSc (Hons) clinical measurement science.
The Department currently includes the following 8 consultant respiratory physicians who are supported by a team of respiratory physiologists / sleep technologists, backed up by our administration and patient escort team.
The Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Department at the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin is open Monday to Friday from 8am – 5pm.

Ross Morgan graduated from UCD in 1996 and undertook specialist registrar
training in Respiratory Medicine in Ireland followed by a 3 year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Boston University. He has been a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Beaumont Hospital since 2007 and is a Fellow of the RCPI and of the American College of Chest Physicians. He is a council member of the Irish Thoracic Society and Chair of the Lung cancer group at the NCCP. He is also chairman of ASH Ireland.
His clinical and research interests are in lung cancer, pleural disease, airway inflammation and bronchoscopy.
