Mr Harry Canning Hospital Manager welcomed in excess of 100 Munster based GPs to Pairc Uí Chaoimh for an interesting and varied educational evening covering topics such as Orthopaedic Emergencies, Spinal Emergency Management and Maintaining an Airway, Head injury and Concussion and Splinting for minor injuries & essential contents for the kit bag.
These very informative sessions were delivered by Mr Declan Bowler & Mr David Morrissey Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons, Ms Ann McKenna Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Dr Niamh Lynch Consultant Paediatrician and Aoife McMahon Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist.
Hospital Manager Mr Harry Canning stated that Bon Secours Hospital Cork was delighted to host tonight’s event to provide training and education on Pitch side Emergencies to in excess of 100 GPs throughout Munster.
He said that Bon Secours recognise the importance of having such expertise available at the many different sports’ pitch sides.
