BON SECOURS HOSPITAL, CORK SUPPORTS AND DONATES TO EPILEPSY IRELAND

The Bon Secours Hospital Neurophysiology and Neurology team were involved with finding creative ways to support ‘Purple Day’ on March 26th 2021.  This day is held globally to increase awareness regarding Epilepsy. The bridge at the Bon Secours Hospital turned purple to show our support and a six hampers were raffled.

Items were generously donated for the hampers raising €1,200.00 and the Bon Secours Hospital contributed €1,100.00 amounting to a total of €2,300.00.

The donation cheque was presented to the Cork Branch of Epilepsy Ireland towards their continuing focus on raising awareness of Epilepsy and the ongoing journey towards a society where no person’s life is limited by Epilepsy.

The Neurophysiology Department at the Bon Secours Hospital provide a service with routine and prolonged video EEG’s which is extremely helpful in the diagnosis and assessment of Epilepsy.
