Mr Denis Dartee graduated from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 1985. He worked in General Surgery and Orthopaedics for four years in Rotterdam and Sittard. Then he started his specialist training in Orthopaedics at the University Hospital of Maastricht.
In 1996 he took up a new position at the Jeroen Bosch in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. He, together with seven other Orthopaedic Consultants, has been providing General Orthopaedic Services to the ‘s-Hertogenbosch region, however he has a special interest in sports injury, trauma and lower limb Orthopaedics.
In 1998 he started as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Barringtons Hospital, Limerick. Starting as a Day-Care facility, the hospital has now grown and caters for overnight procedures, which makes it possible to extend the range of Orthopaedic services.
Mr Denis Dartee is a member of the Dutch Orthopaedic Association and was Honorary Secretary for the last six years. He is now involved in numerous commissions on Patient Education, Post Graduate training and communication. With a special interest in sports, Mr Denis Dartee is team Doctor of the Den Bosch male and female (Dutch and European Champions) field hockey teams; the Dukes Rugby club and Basketball club the Schoeters.
