Orthotics

The Orthotics service is of benefit to clients with symptoms of back, hip, knee, foot pain

The Orthotics service at our hospital in Galway is of benefit to clients with symptoms of back, hip, knee, foot pain, biomechanical problems relating to sports and mal-alignment. From combining corrective orthotics with physiotherapy services, patients will be assisted in the correction alignment and aided in resolution of ongoing symptoms.

What is an Orthotic?

Prescription orthotics are custom made insoles for your footwear to correct your specific imbalances, and are specific to the individual.  Foot mal-alignment can contribute to injury (especially repetitive type stress injuries), whereas early intervention with orthotics can help to prevent this.
